Workshop Description
Objectives:
- Refine vocal technique, ensemble balance, and blend
- Deepen interpretation and stylistic awareness across choral repertoire
- Strengthen score-reading, musicianship, and leadership within the ensemble
- Provide choristers with professional-level tools for expressive performance
Activities / Structure
- Welcome & Focused Warm-Up (15 min): advanced breathing, resonance, and range-extension exercises
- Technical Refinement (30 min): tone shaping, tuning in complex harmonies, dynamic control, and articulation
- Repertoire Study (60 min): working on challenging choral works with emphasis on phrasing, text expression, and ensemble sensitivity
- Interpretation & Performance Practice (15 min): run-throughs with coaching on musicality, stage presence, and leadership
